An antique Victorian white cotton corset cover, also wearable as a camisole, dating to c. 1890s. Made from fine batiste cotton, with a wide ballet neckline, narrow off-the-shoulder straps, a nipped waist, and a softly flared hip. The center front is finished with a V-shaped panel of fine pieced lace and white-on-white floral embroidery, with narrow lace insertion panels at the sides. Fastens at the back with a hidden placket and self-fabric covered buttons.
