An antique French cotton lawn petticoat shift, dating to circa. 1910. Entirely handmade from fine white cotton lawn, this petticoat features lace inserts, whitework embroidery on tulle, scalloped lace edges, and exceptionally delicate hand-stitching throughout. The petticoat is finished with mother-of-pearl buttons and handmade loops, with lace tulle straps and fine embroidery across the bodice and skirt.

Front bodice width: 16 in / 40.6 cm

Condition:
Beautiful antique condition, with some areas where the lace has pulled and a few pinhead holes.

Care:
Handle gently due to age and fine construction. Avoid machine washing and bleach. Professional textile cleaning recommended.
