A very beautiful Edwardian dress ensemble dating to c. 1908–1915. Completely hand sewn from sheer embroidered net / tulle and silk, the dress has a double-layered cropped capelet-style bodice and a long gathered skirt with double-layered cotton tulle construction and a deep silk hem. The capelet and skirt are worked with white floral embroidery and raised dot detailing. Designed to be worn over an undergarment such as a slip. Fastens with metal hooks and snap fasteners.

Condition:
Delicate wearable condition. There are several tiny holes in the tulle due to age, with no noticeable staining. All hooks and snap fasteners are intact. Due to the delicate tulle construction, this piece should be worn with a great deal of care and only occasionally.

Handle gently due to age and delicate sheer construction. Professional textile cleaning recommended. Do not machine wash, tumble dry, or bleach.
