An antique white cotton corset cover dating to c. 1900. Made from sturdy white cotton, it features a fitted bodice, wide shoulder straps, hand-worked darts, and mother-of-pearl buttons down the front. The softly flounced waist gives the piece a gently shaped silhouette.

Construction Notes:
Homemade, one-of-a-kind piece with hand-sewn details. The darts appear to have been hand-worked and reinforced by treadle machine. There appears to have originally been a center-front tie, which has been removed, and a hidden snap was added later.

Condition:
Good antique condition. There are two small holes, including one near the center back flounce measuring approximately 1/2 in.

Care:
Handle gently due to age. Hand wash only; do not machine wash or agitate. Avoid bleach. Lay flat or hang gently to dry.
